PARADE CANCELLED. Tragically, our city has been turned upside down by hurricane Sandy. To keep the streets safe and the NYPD focused on relief efforts, the parade has been cancelled.
We haven't given up though. Halloween isn't the only day in the year we can paint our bodies and roam the streets ;)
So when the subways are up and running again, let's make this thing happen.
If you bought a ticket, please email justina.walford@mac.com. You can ask that your ticket be refunded, go to a future event, or go to the charity. All but the eventbrite fees will go toward your choice.

Going to the NYC Halloween Parade?
Get your Costume Painted on at our Happy Hour!
Add Some Color to Your Parade Costume this Halloween!
It's for a good cause! It's for a good time!
The NYC Halloween Parade starts at 8pm and you must be in costume. What kind of militant zealots are these "paraders"???? You can't tell me what I can and can't do! I will go however I damn well please, Mr Parade Pushy Poo!
Hm. But costumes are fun.
And I sure do like an excuse to not wear a shirt.
So......
Go to the parade in costume! And what better costume than color! Pure unadulterated (but possibly adult-rated) color!
At the SoHo Gallery for Digital Art, we're going to be painting faces and bodies as bold as you dare to go on the streets of NYC! Accent your existing costume with face paint or forego the top textiles for a form-fitting upper body painting! Whatever you dare to bare, we'll paint it!
And while you wait to get painted, check out some classic camp horror flicks downstairs or get to know your fellow parade walkers with some beer compliments of Coney Island Lager!
And you don't have to get painted. You can come by and partake in our costume contest in paint or textiles ;)
Once we're all ready, we'll be walking out the door and taking only a few steps to the parade!
$5 with every ticket sold will be going to Alliance for Lupus Research! Specifically for a walking team in Los Angeles called V Lu's Group. If you aren't going to our event, then you can definitely give straight to the walkers here.
So buy tickets at the door or here and paint the town!
